ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM YOUR MENTOR!
Grab a cup of coffee or whatever ...
Let's have a little chat!
1. Your first entry into the PTOA should be through the front stairs.
Readers that "came in through the bathroom window" are probably confused.*
PTOA Readers and Students that are disoriented at this juncture probably did not enter the Academy through the Start Here for Success staircase located on the PTOA Home Page.
Did you access the PTOA via the PTOA Facebook Page or the PTOA RSS feed links that are on the PTOA Home Page?
Or perhaps you found the PTOA via an organic search engine search ... because that's how most PTOA Readers and Students find it!
If that's the case, you might be confused.
But probably not as confused as Fred the Stickman.
Fred is ALWAYS confused.
Read on!
2. Social Media Links Provide "Easy Access" (?) to the PTOA.
The PTOA Facebook page will always show the most recently posted PTOA Segments.
Please "Like" the page when you visit it!
The PTOA RSS Feed will show the most current 15 PTOA Segments.
These supposedly easy access routes into the PTOA via Facebook or RSS feed will only work when the BlueHost-Wordpress-Facebook-RSS interfaces are aligned.
One or the other of these systems is always upgrading which disrupts the connections temporarily.
So when the PTOA Home page is having trouble linking to the PTOA Facebook or RSS feed, copy these links into a newly opened browser:
FOR ACCESS TO THE PTOA Facebook Page:
https://www.facebook.com/Process-Technology-and-Operator-Academy-660798777351942/
FOR ACCESS TO THE PTOA RSS Feed: https://www.processtechacademy.com/feed/
Better yet ... use the free bookmarking tool that is explained below and you will not have to depend upon FB or RSS feeds for easy access to keep reading the PTOA from where you last finished reading.
No matter which route you choose to access the PTOA ...
You should only use the PTOA quick-access FB or RSS routes after you have caught up reading all the PTOA Segments in sequential order.
3.The PTOA content will not make sense unless you read the PTOA Segments in the intended sequential order.
Because...
The PTOA uses a book format.
Like the chapters of a book, the PTOA segments must be read in the intended sequential order to completely understand the story.
Reading the segments in order will help you fully comprehend where you have been and where you are going in your self-study of process technology and operations.
And there's a free tool to help you out ...
4. Registering as a PTOA Reader or Student enables bookmarking.
Bookmarking makes it possible to pick up where you left off reading the PTOA Segments.
You can also bookmark favorite pages ... like THIS PAGE ... because it has couple helpful web addresses on it that may come in handy.
Registration is free.
5. PTOA Readers and Students who are reading these announcements but have not yet read the PTOA Orientation should access this link:
A link at the bottom of START HERE FOR SUCCESS will guide you through the PTOA Orientation.
Reading the PTOA Orientation series will help you figure out whether or not it is worth your while to continue your PTOA self-study.
Your Mentor wants your self-study to be worthwhile and successful.
6. The next two PTOA Segments recap the process industry jargon used in the PTOA Orientation series.
The preceding PTOA Segment defined three important process industry jargon terms that will be used throughout the PTOA.
Likewise, the recap of process industry jargon used in the PTOA Orientation series is important because it enables PTOA Readers and Students to start "talking the industry talk."
Once introduced, the jargon terms will also be used in future PTOA segments.
7. The PTOA focus study on the Process Variable Temperature will continue after the next two PTOA segments that recap process industry jargon used in the PTOA Orientation series.
Over and Out...
Namaste,
YM
