Orientation Summary
IS A CAREER IN PROCESS TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS
A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?
How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people
Now that you know who you are?
(“Baby, You’re a Rich Man,” by the Beatles, 1967)
In a past life, Your Mentor would once weekly discuss the subjects covered in this orientation series with a diverse roomful of people interested in learning more about what process technology is and what process operators do.
The orientation helped the attendees determine if they wanted to invest the time, energy and money pursuing studies in process technology. Approximately 85% decided to continue learning about process industry careers.

Casual Viewers of the Process Technology and Operator Academy site have the option of slogging through the planned sequence of PTOA segments or can make their life easier by registering as a PTOA Reader.
Registering as a PTOA Reader is FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL and makes it possible to bookmark the PTOA segments.
Bookmarking allows the Reader to pick up where they left off reading.
A PTOA Reader can also choose to register as a PTOA Student (it's a free registration, too!).
Eventually, PTOA Students will be enabled to participate in forums with other Students. Eventually, PTOA Students will also be enabled to evaluate whether or not they understand the Process Technology concepts they have been introduced to in the PTOA. Eventually, PTOA Students can also choose to work toward earning PTOA Certificates of Competency in a variety of focus study areas. There is no charge to be a PTOA Student.
Access FREE REGISTRATION to the PTOA HERE.
A link to the PTOA Personal Information Collection and Privacy Policy can be easily accessed HERE. This policy details how personal information is handled.
None of the information collected from Readers or Students in the registration process will be sold. The Reader registration information is the minimum required to enable bookmarking. The Student registration information is the minimal needed to track the progress of Students who choose to earn Certificates of Competency.
A link to PTOA Disclosures can be easily accessed HERE.
The PTOA is a self-motivated, voluntary learning experience; no promise of a job or career in process technology is ever inferred to result from reading the PTOA segments and earning PTOA Certificates of Competency just as no promise of a job awaits the graduate of a brick-and-mortar or online learning institution. ca
And now…
to paraphrase a quote by the poet Mick Jagger...
